Every time I pick up a book written by Megan O’Russell I always end up binging the second half of the book because it feels like every part is action!

In this book, Nola is going on a journey to a place unknown to her. The only thing that she knows is that she can find him at 5th and Nightland. Him being the boy that she’s been best friends with since she can remember. The boy whom she’s had a crush on for about the same amount of time. Kieran. Kieran needed her to do him a favor but Nola would never expect that this one favor could lead her down a very dangerous path.

The third of our love triangle is Jeremy. Sweet, protective, Outer Guard, smitten with Nola, is our Jeremy. He would do anything to have Nola for the rest of his life. He doesn’t question the Domes. He knows that he is safe as long as he is in the glass. Nola has feelings for him as well, but she just can’t seem to shake off Kieran.

O’Russell does a wonderful job giving us all of the necessary information at the perfect times as well. Her ability to plot out such a genuinely good story is downright immaculate. She does well to make sure that there are no plot holes. The reader is never left wondering about the specifics of the world that O’Russell transports them too. The only way the reader is guessing is if they are wondering what is going to happen next!

In Girl of Glass, there is more to the story than just love. The Domes are going to push too much in the city and aren’t going to know what to do with the fight that they bring back on themselves. They are worried about their food and their supplies being used only for the people in the domes. They have no idea what the Nightland has in store for them, just waiting for the right moment to retaliate.

I could go on and on about the world and stories that Megan O’Russell has created, but then you wouldn’t be able to experience the mic drops that she does in the plot. They aren’t necessarily twists, but they aren’t really predictable either. Just do us both a favor and read this book!
